This lesson plan from the British Council Teaching English website takes advantage of our collective love of food to motivate students to practice their English-speaking skills on a familiar topic.
Children will be able to build exciting new vocabulary to help them describe the textures of what they eat and have lots of fun creating their own menu for a hungry monster friend. This lesson is suitable as a stand-alone for younger children or as a filler for a more advanced class. Teachers can use the existing flashcards or create their own with local favourites that their class will relate to more.
Listen to a teacher talk about how she used the lesson plan herself in the classroom
