We offer a range of convenient test dates in 18 official IELTS test centre locations across Pakistan. You can choose to take your IELTS test on paper or on a computer. Whichever you prefer, you will need to come to a test centre to sit your test. Find out more

The British Council Pakistan offers IELTS on computer tests in 6 locations: Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Sukkur with up to ten test dates per month.
Looking to work, study, or live in the UK?
If you need a visa for working or studying in the UK, then in some cases you may need to take IELTS for UK Visas and Immigration or IELTS Life Skills.
Important Note: To ensure the safety of the students and venue staff, and in accordance with the Government of Pakistan guidelines, it is now mandatory for all candidates (ages 12+) to bring their Covid-19 vaccination certificates/cards to exam venues or show vaccination confirmation on SMS on the day of the exam. Candidates who are unable to provide proof of vaccination will not be allowed to give their exam and may apply for a Test Date Transfer or Refund.

What does the fee include? Our IELTS test fee includes exclusive preparation materials, free practice tests and much more.
Test schedule / timings Your Listening, Reading, and Writing sections of the test will be completed on the same day with no break in between. All sessions allow social distancing. Morning sessions are usually between 9.00 am and 12.00 pm. Afternoon sessions are usually between 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm.
If you take IELTS on paper, your Speaking test will take place on a different day to the other sections of the test, in a 7-day window before or after the main test day. You will receive an email confirming your Speaking test date 48 hours in advance.

You can choose your Speaking test slot whether you take IELTS on a computer or on paper. If we need to change your slot due to the pandemic, we will notify you by email or phone.
