IELTS with the British Council just got better! Results typically in 1-5 days with IELTS on computer

The IELTS TEST PARTNERS* no longer offer IELTS for UKVI on Paper in Pakistan from Oct 1, 2024. Test takers can still take IELTS for UKVI on Computer in Pakistan. 

UKVI on Computer offers results within 1-5 days and is available throughout the week, offering test-takers great availability.

The British Council Pakistan offers IELTS on computer tests in 7 locations: Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Multan and Sukkur with up to ten test dates per month.

International payments

As per section 236Y (Income Tax Ordinance, 2001), all international transactions made via credit or debit card are subject to advance tax deduction by the bank at rates 1% for filers and 3% for non-filers.

Candidates who choose to pay online via credit / debit card for exams and / or to avail other related services with British Council Pakistan should be aware of the above applicable tax, as the British Council transactions settlement process is executed through an international merchant / banking company.

Kindly note that candidates applying for exam refund under British Council refund policy, will not be refunded the advance tax amount as deducted by the bank.

IELTS test schedule in Pakistan

How does the IELTS test schedule work? Your Listening, Reading, and Writing sections of the IELTS test will be completed on the same day with no break in between. All sessions allow social distancing. Morning sessions are usually between 9.00 am and 12.00 pm. Afternoon sessions are usually between 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm.

If you take IELTS on paper, your Speaking test will take place on a different day to the other sections of the test, in a 7-day window before or after the main test day. You will receive an email confirming your Speaking test date 48 hours in advance.
