Financial autonomy is the key driving force in gender equality drives across the globe. In this workshop participants will learn crucial skills to make financially responsible decisions and ways to manage their money more effectively. It will cover a range of topics including various types of accounts and how to select the right one, using a debit and credit card, managing assets, and getting financial assistance.

In English and Urdu, with Sign Language translation available.

About the workshop facilitators

Kashif Karimi

Kashif Karimi brings with him 15 years of broad-based experience in Software Development, Banking Systems & IT consultancy services. He is currently the Head of Information Technology at the First Women’s Bank Limited. Prior to joining FWBL, Mr. Karimi worked with a number of organisations in Pakistan and abroad where he spearheaded many IT initiatives including Core Banking applications, Retail Banking Services, and Call Centre application. He holds an MS in Information Systems from DePaul University, Chicago and MBA (Finance) from IBA, Karachi.

Sajeela Iqbal

Sajeela Iqbal has been associated with the Development Cell and Strategic Initiatives department at the First Women’s Bank Limited since December 2016. Working under the USAID-funded Gender Equity Program, FWBL was able to conduct capacity building of its female employees and introduce financial products for the home-based workers and entrepreneurs across Pakistan. Ms. Iqbal has helped conduct financial advocacy sessions, such as a recent session for women entrepreneurs in the Business Incubation Program at IBA’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Development.

Samina Geti

Samina Geti is a Vice President and Deputy Head at First Women’s Bank Limited where has been looking after the Small and Medium Enterprise Business division for the last four years. She is responsible for implementing strategies to create SME awareness through development of products. Her overall banking experience spans over 25 years, including five years of general banking at Soneri Bank. Ms. Geti is also an active member of various working groups and committees on SME Finance under the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS).
