On 21 May 2017, join us in the British Council Exhibition ‘Creative Cities in Pakistan’ to listen to Khumariyaan reflect on their music and the importance of the arts in Peshawar and throughout Pakistan. Khumariyaan will discuss why they have enjoyed such international acclaim and their work to support the arts and promote social cohesion.

‘Creative Cities in Pakistan’ is a research report recently published by the British Council Research, Evaluation and Monitoring Unit in Pakistan. It explores the potential for creative communities and the cultural sector to contribute to social and economic development in urban environments and provides recommendations for potential programmes. An exhibition inspired by the cities featured in the  report is on display in London until 26 May 2017.
