A step-by-step guide to private candidate registration

Step 1: Complete your online registration

The first step is to register on the British Council’s School Registration System (SRS). Be sure to follow the instructions carefully to ensure your registration is processed correctly.

Step 2: Pay for your exams

After registering on the SRS, you’ll need to pay the exam fees. Your application won’t be processed until payment is received.

You can find the exact exam fees for Pakistan within the SRS. All awarding bodies (Cambridge International Education, OxfordAQA and Pearson EdExcel) charge a specific exam fee per subject.

You have several payment options available:

  • Online payment: Pay via ATM or IBFT into a Virtual Account that will be assigned to you after completing your registration.

  • Bank deposit: Pay via a bank draft or deposit through a designated Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) branch.

Access arrangements

If you need to make special arrangements (special educational needs, disabilities or temporary injuries/illnesses), please contact the British Council offices in Pakistan at least six weeks before your exam date.

If you need to make special arrangements when registering for IGCSEs please contact the person organising the exam or the British Council offices in Pakistan at least six weeks before your exam date.
