Join us in an open mic evening where languages meet, and cultures shine.
This month we are celebrating the many languages existing in our community. So come on over and share your poetry, idioms, music, or jokes in your native language and unlock their meaning for everyone. Let’s celebrate diversity, laughter, and the beauty of languages together at the library.

About our facilitator:
Aleezeh Fatima, is a journalist who writes on themes of climate, migration, and displacement. Her work has explored stories of Afghan refugees, earning her an interview with Voice of America, and she continues to shed light on Bengali settlements and marginalized communities. For her, journalism is a way to connect, uncover truths, and amplify voices often left unheard, and she’s excited to keep sharing these stories with the world.
Whether you’re performing or just vibing with the crowd, expect an evening full of creativity, laughter, and connection.
