The British Council Karachi Library is hosting a women-only book club dedicated to celebrating women authors and the powerful female characters they have created.
In this interactive conversation session, participants will share their favourite women authors and discuss female characters from literature that have inspired, influenced, or left a lasting impact on them. From the timeless works of Jane Austen and Agatha Christie to the thought-provoking writing of Margaret Atwood, Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf, as well as powerful voices like Parveen Shakir and Ismat Chughtai, the session invites participants to explore how women’s storytelling shapes identity, perspective, and lived experience.
