Join us for an immersive evening at the Karachi Library to experience the art of narration and performance of select passages from Urdu literature.
Dastangoi is a traditional form of storytelling, which weaves together words and emotions to take the listeners on a remarkable journey through the realms of imagination.
We are pleased to present an evening dedicated to Urdu literary masterpieces - "Ghoonghat" by Ismat Chughtai and "Toba Tek Singh" by Saadat Hasan Manto; presented by Tilismistan.

Fee per participant: PKR 1500 for library members and PKR 1800 for non-members.

About Tilismistan:
Qadir Ahmed and Riaz Baloch started dastangoi in 2016 after being trained at NAPA. They established Tilismistan in 2019 to keep the magic of oral storytelling alive. Their troupe has performed at the Karachi Literature Festival, Karachi International Festival at NAPA, Karachi Laughter Festival at NAPA, Azam-e-Nojawan Project, and Women’s Day Festival at Arts Council Karachi.
