Date
Saturday, 28 November 2026 - 15:00 to 16:30
Location
British Council Lahore Library
This year, we are celebrating 10 years of reopening of British Council Libraries in Pakistan and the UK’s National Year of Reading. To mark these celebrations, we are excited to bring a series of book clubs, author talks and literary activities to our community of readers. We are delighted to launch “10th Anniversary Shelf”, a series curated conversations around selected book as a part of our celebratory events.

Join us for our fourth session as we explore The Sufi Storyteller, the latest novel by Faiqa Mansab. The Sufi Storyteller is a contemporary murder mystery of Layla and Mira; an estranged mother and daughter duo who urgently need to reconnect and navigate a world of Sufi story traditions to catch a killer, and save each other. Set between small town America and the mountains of Afghanistan, The Sufi Storyteller explores misogyny, generational trauma and oppression and the way stories can either save us or help us run away from our past.

The bookclub will be moderated by Fareeha Hashmi and we will be joined by Faiqa Mansab for a Q/A session after the discussion.
