The work requires frequent travel around Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federal Territory, Sindh and possibly other areas of Pakistan.

Freelance Trainers will mainly be expected to train government school leaders and teachers working in lower resource conditions. Consultants will need to be resourceful, flexible and able to take the initiative when required. Consultants also need to be digitally proficient as they will be expected to smoothly deliver online training and workshops.

We are looking to recruit consultants who engage actively and continuously in their own professional development and who are committed to contributing to educational reform in Pakistan.

Main requirements

  • Delivery of school head-teachers and teacher training; both face-to-face and online according to the requirements set by the British Council
  • Delivery must meet competency standards as defined in the role profile.
  • Delivery must meet British Council Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Safeguarding standards at all times.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning requirements, including full compliance with Data Protection Law, are met and relevant documentation is completed and submitted on time.

Additional details are in the Role Profile.

Selection process

Only shortlisted applicants will be interviewed. A British Council Validation workshop will be held for applicants who have cleared the interview to assess their training skills. During Validation, they will also be required to deliver a short micro-training session to other applicants to demonstrate their planning and delivery skills. Validated trainers will then be familiarised with Schools Connect programme content through content review interventions after which they will be ready for programme delivery in Pakistan.
