Join us for an inspiring evening with acclaimed author Shandana Minhas, in conversation with novelist and journalist Taha Kehar. 

Known for her sharp wit, bold narrative voice, and unforgettable characters, Shandana Minhas has carved a distinctive space in contemporary literature. Whether you’re already a fan of her work or discovering her for the first time, this session offers a rare opportunity to hear her reflect on her journey as a writer, the ideas that inspire her, and what it means to create fiction from—and beyond—the subcontinent.

Guiding the discussion, Taha Kehar brings his own experience as an author and editor to the table, promising a lively and thoughtful conversation that delves into process, identity, and the power of stories.

The conversation will be followed by a Q/A and books by both authors will be available for purchase and you’ll have the chance to get them signed.

About Shandana Minhas:

Shandana Minhas is an award-winning writer from Karachi who now lives in London. She is the author of the novels Tunnel Vision (Roli Books, 2007), Survival Tips for Lunatics (Hachette India, 2014), Daddy’s Boy (HarperCollins India, 2016), Rafina (Picador India, 2018) and most recently, Ferdowsnama (Penguin India, 2025). Minhas’s debut novel, Tunnel Vision, was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Best First Book. Shandana’s fiction has appeared in literary magazines and newspapers, been adapted for stage and screen, and translated into Italian and Estonian.  She has an MA in Prose Fiction from the University of East Anglia and is an honorary fellow of the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa. 

About Taha Kehar:

Taha Kehar is a novelist and literary critic. A law graduate from SOAS, London, Kehar is the author of the critically acclaimed novels, No Funeral for Nazia (2023) and Typically Tanya (2018). His most recent publication is Story Circle: Letters on Creativity and Friendship, co-authored with poet Fatima Ijaz. His first collection of stories, titled Matchmaker and Other Stories, will be released in early 2026.
